HEALTH & SAFETY
To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974 we regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and the prevention of accidents injuries and ill health. All our work is underpinned using robust method statements, risk assessments and COSHH assessments.
The personal health and safety of each employee of C&S Plastering is of primary importance. The prevention of such occupational injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it will be given precedence over operational activities whenever necessary. Wherever practicable the company will provide all the physical facilities required to ensure personal health and safety.
Emphasis is placed on a staff training programme in health and safety to achieve our aim of zero accidents and injuries.
We are members of the CHAS and SSIP schemes.
TRADING TERMS & CONDITIONS
In these terms and conditions, the following meanings shall apply: “Company”, “We” and “Us” means C&S Plastering Ltd. “Company Signatory” means a person authorised by us. “Customer and/or “You” means the person or company purchasing services from the company. “Contract” means the agreement to supply services. “Services” means the services the company are contracted to supply. “Terms and/or “Conditions” means the terms set out in this document and any special terms agreed in writing between and Company Signtory and You. All orders are accepted by Us only under these Terms and Conditions. No addition, alteration, substitution or waiver of these Terms and Conditions will be valid unless accepted in writing by a Company Signatory. Any guotation is valid for 60 days from its date provided we have not previously withdrawn it or changed a price or discount entitlement. The Contract is formed when You acknowledge and accept our proposal by placing and order at which time you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Each proposal accepted shall constitute an individual legally binding contract between You and Us. To allow access to tradesmen of the company in order to commence service is agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. When we accept your order we will give you an approximate start date and will keep you informed of any changes to such date. Start dates are given in good faith but are estimates only. The Company conducts itself under these Terms and Conditions and if there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions prevail. We will ensure that all materials supplied comply with safe industry practices and are free from defects and that any works carried out is carried out with reasonable care and skill. Before work commences we will make a visual inspection of the work area. If at any time during the contract further work is necessary either because of alterations in design or specification and this causes an increase in costs, we will send you a further proposal giving details of the extra costs. Daywork rates will include travel to and from the site. We will make good any damage caused by us whilst carrying out the work limited to your compliance to remove any items not necessary within the vicinity of our works. You will give to the Company tradesmen unrestricted access to any relevant working area at all reasonable times. Return visits as a result of Your failure to allow access for any reason will be on a chargeable basis. Where You are required to give us measurements in order to prepare a quotation and we rely on this measure, which subsequently proves to be incorrect, we reserve the right to adjust the price to make good an errors or additional works required as a result of this mistake. If You fail to accept service, at our discretion we may make an additional charge to recover our losses from You.
